Dressing up, acrylic/collage on panel, 76x100 cm
At last I have finished this.
Children love dressing up, I did.
Whilst dressing up a child can be anything and anybody their imagination is capable of. Decked in a few old clothes and beads a child is transformed into a tall princess or fearsome witch.
This work reflects the child’s magpie delight in all things bright and sparkling.
Many of the collaged pieces are overlaid with iridescent medium, gold and silver.
Like a magpie myself I’ve collected these scraps over the years and finally got around to doing something with them.
